While creating this site, I really wanted it to be a platform where I could write articles based on my own observations and experiences. As I mentioned in my previous article, another aim of mine was to have small conversations with people who have been successful in their field and convey them to you. To be honest, I had another plan in the meantime, but I couldn't realize it because it got stuck in legal procedures.
I entrust you with my first article on my site, which consists entirely of my own pen. Have fun reading!
Those who read personal development books know well that there is definitely the following sentence somewhere;
"Explore life." This sentence is usually on the left page of the book and there are always suggestions under it.
Learn a new language.
Make it a principle to say no.
Discover new places.
Read a book.
Try world cuisines.
.
.
.
This list may be longer or shorter depending on the author of the book. In fact, the items listed are equal to a single sentence, but this equality is not included in many #personal #development books. The equivalent sentence that will validate all these items and express them all by itself is the sentence "know yourself".
No matter what you try, it doesn't matter what you try after you don't know yourself. You always feel a sense of incompleteness. I can explain this in the shortest way. When you finish a self-help book, you start making many decisions. The time you try to implement the first of your decisions is approximately half a day. In the meantime, you've already forgotten the other next decisions.
Let's get to the main topic. Let's look at the same items from this angle.
Learn a new language - Do you really have enough phonics to learn French?
Make it a principle to say no - Don't you need to know what you want before you can say "no" to someone?
Discover new places- Do you really need to go to China to realize that you enjoy a quiet vacation?
Read a book - Maybe you like to listen to books.
Try world cuisines - If you want your last meal to be Japanese Fugu fish, that's different. (It is an unforgivable fish if it is not cooked correctly.)
In other words, as I have explained with examples, as long as you do not know yourself, you will continue to be an individual who mainly acts on the suggestions of others. You never want to spend time alone. You are so bored. However, the person who knows himself knows very well what will make him happy and always has a lot to do. He does not wait when his friends are available to socialize, he spends time with his friends when it is convenient. His style of dressing is formed, he is aware of his abilities, he likes to have fun and entertain. It is possible to give many more examples.
So how can you know yourself?
Let me briefly introduce you to yourself. Analyze the decision you make in a situation, the reaction you give, the interest you show. At the end of the day, if you still remember that moment and you don't feel comfortable, think about how you would be more comfortable if you did. The result you will reach as a result of all these is the shortest way to you.
